Tammy L. (White) Renteria, DVM, AVDC™

Board Certified Veterinary Dentist

Dr. (White) Renteria is a graduate of Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine class of 1996. She became a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College in 2009. Dr. (White) Renteria is the founder and owner of Pacific Northwest Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery in Longview, WA and Inland Northwest Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. The practices offer advanced veterinary dentistry for dogs and cats, teaching, and consulting services. Dr. (White) Renteria has been a part of the Adjunct Faculty at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine since 2010 and offers a dental rotation to 4th year veterinary students providing them with the opportunity to learn more about small animal veterinary dentistry.

Dr. (White) Renteria is continuing her passion of helping people and pets by advising and teaching veterinary dentistry to veterinarians within Western Veterinary Partner practices.


Amarett Kern, DVM

Dr. Amarett Kern graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She spent the following 9 years working at a small animal veterinary clinic providing veterinary dentistry, medicine, surgery and urgent care in Reno, NV.

Dr. Kern moved to Coeur D’Alene, Idaho in April 2021 to begin her residency in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery with Dr. Tammy White Renteria. She is very excited to commit her career to this fascinating specialty!

In her free time, Dr. Kern enjoys skiing, mountain biking, horseback riding, and exploring the outdoors surrounding her new hometown.


Tamara Grubb, DVM, PhD, DACVAA

Dr. Tamara Grubb is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia & Analgesia with a strong focus in pain management. She owns an anesthesia/analgesia & continuing education consulting practice which serves both small and large animals. Dr. Grubb is a national/international educator and lecturer, a certified acupuncturist, an Adjunct Professor of Anesthesia & Analgesia and the President-Elect of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management (IVAPM). She is co-author of two books, including ‘Veterinary Anesthesia & Pain Management for Nurses & Technicians’. Dr. Grubb’s favorite achievement is winning the Distinguished Teaching Award at two Universities.


Shelly

Shelly earned an A.A.S. in veterinary technology from Vatterott College in her home state of Nebraska. Shelly joined us in 2017 bringing years of experience in the veterinary specialty of ophthalmology and general veterinary medicine. Shelly enjoys music, biking, traveling and paddle boarding.


Nicole

Nicole graduated from the University of Idaho in 2009 with a B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Science and a B.S. in Animal Science. She completed her A.S. Veterinary Technology from Penn Foster in 2020. She joined our team in December 2022, bringing her knowledge of emergency medicine/critical care and general veterinary medicine.

In her off time Nicole enjoys camping with her husband, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, yoga, reading books and watching superhero movies.


Mimi

Mimi has been working in veterinary medicine and dentistry assisting Dr. Tammy (White) Renteria since 2002. She enjoys helping people and pets. She likes to spend time with her family and grandchildren when she is not helping clients and patients.
